Job Description:
The right candidate for this position is an individual who thrives on making an impact, is an excellent communicator, mentor, and critical thinker. The Program Manager will ensure projects are meeting requirements as defined. Manage customers, as well as internal team, creating positive working relationships. Must work efficiently and effectively, driving projects to completion. This position does require a technical background in infotainment technology, to complete the overall responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate with customers to create work item plans to ensure work, deliverables and delivery dates are defined at start of each project.
- Regular update reports to customer and project corrections were required.
- Look at new services to offer key customers.
- Ensure work from team is recorded and reviewed on completion.
- Continually track projects, ensuring that progress is as expected and ensure that issues can be mitigated.
- Training of team members and ensuring their capabilities match the requirements for each project before project commencement.
- Help management with creation of progression plans for team members, setting of short-, medium- and long-term goals.
- Ensure quality of work performed and deliverables.
- Schedule team tasks and acquire additional resource from the wider team if required.
- Liaise with other teams within the site regarding resource requirements and availability of team to assist if required.
- Ensure vacation days requested by team are signed off in principle and don’t affect project deliverables.
- Creation of documentation of research as future resource.
- Creation of training materials for internal and external use.
- Self-improvement – training and introduction of new technologies where required.
- Keep track of updates to specifications and report to customers if necessary.
- Look to create a portfolio of consultancy services that can be offered to other customers.
- Look at efficiency improvements and developments.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.
- Program management experience, PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience working with OEMs and Tier One suppliers.
- Experience with Infotainment technology is a must.
This is a direct position with a Tier One supplier. This position will be working onsite in Farmington Hill, MI.
